Hi. My name is Al. I have been a foundation governor now since autumn 2017. My background is in education and have been a language teacher (mainly German and French) since 2004 in Secondary Schools. I was also in charge of the Forest Schools programme for 5 years in a school in Crawley, and know first-hand the importance of this programme. I have been involved as a volunteer with the programme at St Margaret’s for about 3 years now.

I have also been a Computer Science teacher for 2 years at Angmering School and so have a keen eye on IT provision within St Margaret’s school and on website compliance.

I’m currently the Literacy Lead Practitioner for my school’s department in Hove.  I take a keen interest in the Reading Programme at St Margaret’s, monitoring it on a half-termly cycle.  I am the link governor for Year 3 at St Margaret’s.
