Jacob's Marathon Achievement

Some of you might have seen a familiar face on the local news this week.

Amberley's very own Jacob took on a really special challenge on his birthday at the beginning of January in honour of his great-grandad Andrew, who very sadly lost his battle with cancer on December 23rd 2020.

Jacob decided that he wanted to raise money for Cancer Research because the charity is so important to him and his family, by running a marathon distance of 26.2 miles over the month of January; he ran several shorter runs with his mum Abi, dad Simon, sister Jessica and labrador Cassie for company, and smashed his target of 26.2 miles on Monday 18th January! So far he has raised over £560 for Cancer Research. 

We want to say a HUGE well done to Jacob and let him know how incredibly proud we are of him.
