The Key Worker children of St.Margaret's Primary have had a super week!

KS2 have been completing home learning tasks and quizzes on Google Classroom and they got themselves into super shape by participating in Joe Wick's morning workout everyday as well as completing the Specsavers Sporting Activities competition.

The children were keen to make Ear Defenders for those in the NHS and carers in the community who have to wear face masks all day and need some protection from the elastic rubbing on their ears.  Those children were awarded a special certificate for making so many and for colouring them and writing messages of encouragement on them too. We enjoyed undertaking a science investigation on Parachutes which concluded in making some wonderful parachutes and testing their effectiveness from great heights. Much fun was had too, when Mr Wesley produced his huge rainbow parachute in the playground! We played a whole range of games and got everybody active and giggling!

KS1 splashed into the week, using water when learning about capacity in maths comparing and measuring a range of different containers, building a house for Paddington bear out of Lego and making a new climbing frame challenge; we also imagined what it would have been like to have been there during the Great Fire of London and read about Sammy The Fire Dog. We did phonics activities and played maths games on the computers. The end of the week finished fantastically with a big bubble play session thanks to Mr Wesley!

The wind picked up a bit this week but this didn't stop us getting outside! Instead the wind inspired us to make kites with symmetrical patterns on them before flying them in the breeze.  We also had great fun with Mr. Wesley who helped us play games with the huge parachute

What a wonderful week we've had!
