Mrs Broomhead's New Bees
We are delighted to report that Mrs Broomhead has done her little bit for the environment and is now the proud "mother" of some bee hatchlings!
Mrs Broomhead told us "Not as cute as lambs, but my mason bees have been hatching. They are solitary bees with no stings. I get sent cocoons in the spring to hatch, then when they lay their own eggs, I send these back in autumn. They are great pollinators!"
We look forward to hearing more about them in the future, but in the mean time, have a look online and see if you can find out why bees are so important for the environment and what sort of habitat they like!
