Thursday 27th November 2025

Dear Parents and Carers,

Thank you to everyone who voted and to all who stood for our Parent Governor election—your involvement shows the strength of our supportive school community. Strong governance is essential in helping us live out our Christian vision, Created to Shine, and uphold our values of Love and Aspire. Congratulations to Ilana La Roux who received the most amount of votes and therefore is elected onto our Board of Governors. We look forward to working with Ilana and the valuable insights she will bring to the role.

This Week at St Margaret’s

- As the excitement for Christmas starts to build, please take note of the events and dates over the next few weeks in school.  Please see attached the 'dates for your diary' document which has some more detail about some of the events coming up this term. If in any doubt, please just ask. There has been a slight change to the time for the EYFS performance on the 10th December

- We look forward to welcoming Year 2 parents into school for their Shine Show on Friday at 2:15pm for a 2:20pm start.

- This Friday is our November Shining Stars award assembly. A child from each class is chosen by the teacher for 'Shining brightly' this month - a child who has gone above and beyond to demonstrate our school vision and values. I  look forward to celebrating with the winners next week with tea (Juice!) and cake.

Looking Ahead to Next Week

- Tickets for the Santa's Grotto at our Carols by Candelight event are now on sale via MCAS (My Child at School app) - £3 a ticket.

- The Christmas Hamper raffle tickets will  be on sale from Monday 01.12.25 - 11.12.25 on MCAS priced at £1.00 per ticket. The raffle will be drawn in Assembly on Tuesday 16th December. Parents will be notified if they have won later that day.

- On Monday we have our first Christmas event - our Christmas Jumper day! Children are invited to wear a Christmas jumper and we ask for a voluntary donation of £1 to fundraise for the school.

- Angmering@Christmas 2025 - Friday 6-8pm on the Village Green. We are excited to be a part of this event with our choir having been invited to sing! Good luck to all those involved - we look forward to seeing you there.
