Dear Parents and Carers,
Each Thursday I share a weekly newsletter with important information, notices, and attachments. This is our main way of keeping you informed without overwhelming you with multiple emails. Class specific updates (e.g. trips) will come directly from class teachers.
Please take a few minutes to read this letter and the attachments carefully—most of our key dates and updates are communicated here. Copies are always available on our website.
This Week at St Margaret’s
We’ve enjoyed welcoming everyone back for the Autumn term. As a school we’ve been reflecting on our new vision, Created to Shine! and our core values of Love and Aspire.
Children have been settling into their new classes, getting to know teachers, and adjusting to new routines and expectations.
We launched a whole-school project based on the book The Dot, focused on celebrating difference and our unique gifts and talents.
Our new morning drop-off arrangements seem to be running smoothly. They feel safer, and it has been wonderful to see parents at the gates, strengthening our sense of community. We’ll continue to monitor and adjust if needed. Looking Ahead to Next Week
Club sign-up forms have gone out—please book promptly to secure places.
Our new website is due to go live shortly—watch this space!
Meet the Teacher events: Thursday 18th September, 2:30pm – Y4, Y5, Y6 o Friday 19th September, 2:30pm – Y1, Y2, Y3 If you’re unable to attend, don’t worry—slides will be shared afterwards.

Whole School Open Evening: Tuesday 23rd September, 4–6pm. A chance to see the school, meet staff, and find out more about all the things we offer at St Margaret’s. Everyone is welcome, including prospective families—please spread the word! Parking: Please park considerately and safely, being mindful of our neighbours.

Children are enjoying new lunchtime activities, including den building, different play equipment, sports zones, and extra space outdoors.
Traffic on A259: We understand delays are affecting the morning drop-off. Please do not worry if you are held up at this time.

Attachments: Term dates, clubs information, library summer reading challenge, Reception welcome tea party invitation, PTA relaunch slides.
Thank you for your support at the start of term. We know it’s a lot to take in as everyone adjusts back to school routines—uniforms, lunches, clubs, and more. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with any questions; working together ensures our whole school community thrives. A
. Best wishes, Mr. Lumley Headteacher
