Intent

We aim for the children to become confident, literate young people who can communicate effectively and enjoy reading for pleasure, alongside the acquisition of knowledge.

Impact

Through English children should learn to become the very best they can be as readers, writers, speakers and listeners, through a broad and balanced approach to the teaching of English across the curriculum.

Implementation

This will be achieved through daily English activities, regular reading and cross-curricular learning.
