Our Governing Board is made up of enthusiastic and hardworking volunteers with an interest, passion and commitment to the education of children. Our Board consists of parents, school staff and volunteers appointed by the local authority and Chichester Church of England Diocese.
Governors play an important part in overseeing the running of the school in the interests of the community it serves. We work in partnership with the school, making decisions about, for example, educational standards and targets, policies, staffing and finance, whilst ensuring our school’s Christian vision ‘Created to Shine’, and our values of Love and Aspire, are at the very heart of all we do.
Our role is to govern rather than to manage, leaving the Headteacher and his team responsible for the day to day running of the school.

Individual governors have no power or responsibility. It is only the full governing body which has legal duties and powers and all governors share in that corporate responsibility.
