Dear Parents and Carers,
We have almost made it through an exceptional week of heat! Thank you for your understanding and support during this time, when we have done everything we can to keep everybody safe and well. The children have been amazing and shown such resilience and the staff have done an incredible job of adjusting our usual provisions through the heat to keep everybody as cool as possible. Thank you for your support and understanding.
This Week at St Margaret’s
- It's been lovely to welcome some of our new Reception parents and carers to our Meet the Teacher sessions. These continue next week.
- The Angmering Twinning Association kindly donated a new bench, built by Men in Sheds (Littlehampton East), to mark 50 years of Angmering being twinned with the town of Ouistreham and in memory of the former Headteacher, Lesley Baker. Some members of our School Council helped open the bench for our school to enjoy.

- Year 6 have had a fabulous week at Cobnor, enjoying a wide range of activities, such as raft building, high ropes, sailing, archery and more. A big thank you to all the staff who have made this trip possible and given our children such a wonderful experience to learn and grow.
- Today we celebrated the Shining Stars Award for the month of June. Congratulations to all our winners.
Next Week at St Margaret's
- Unfortunately, due to the heat, we had to cancel the Year 5 Legacy Games. The good news is that this has been re-arranged and Year 5 are able to join Year 4 at The Angmering School on Tuesday 30th June. Drop off is at The Angmering School between 9.00am and 9.15am. Parents are not allowed to use the car park and must park either outside the school gates, or use the turning circle to drop off children. Children will walk back to school around 12.45pm with their class. Parents can pick up at the normal time from school. Anyone who has ordered a hot school meal will need to cancel this as everyone needs a packed lunch. Remember to pack water bottles, sun cream and a sun hat.
- KS1 Multi Skills event at The Angmering School from 3.45 - 5.00pm Tuesday 30th June.
- Wednesday 1st July - Children will be spending some time in their new class as per the letter sent out earlier this week. Parents are welcome to pop in to classes at the end of the school day with their child to see where they will be in September.
- Year 3 and 4 Stoolball Festival on Thursday 2nd July at The Angmering School 3.45 - 5.00pm
- Friday 3rd July - Parents and carers are welcome to join members of St Margaret's Church in the Vestry hall to pray for the school at 9.00am.
