Thursday 26th March 2026

Dear Parents and Carers,

What a busy week it has been in school! I think everyone is now ready for a well‑deserved rest over the Easter holidays.

On Wednesday, we said a fond farewell to Ms Dark, who is retiring after giving an incredible 25 years of service to our school community. She will be greatly missed, and we wish her a long, happy and healthy retirement.

This week we also say goodbye to Mrs Kemp, who is moving on to a new role with West Sussex County Council in the SEN team. Her last day will be tomorrow, and I am sure you will join me in wishing her every success in this exciting next chapter. We offer a heartfelt thank you to Mrs Kemp for her dedication to supporting pupils, staff and families during her time at St Margaret’s.

After Easter, we look forward to welcoming Miss Rawlings (soon to be Mrs Challis) as our new SENCO, and Mrs Magee, who will be joining us as our new Deputy Headteacher. Both are very excited to begin their new roles and to become part of our school community.

Thank you for all your ongoing support and wishing you a restful and very Happy Easter.

This Week at St Margaret’s

  • Congratulations to our Key Stage 1 children who took part in the football festival on Monday; one of our teams even managed to win the tournament and was very proud to collect their medals!
  • Thank you for supporting our Church services for Year 1 to Year 6 on Tuesday.  It was wonderful to come together as a school community and celebrate Easter.
  • Huge congratulations to all of our Year 3 and Year 4 children who have entertained audiences throughout the week in their production of The Wizard of Oz.  A big thanks to all of our team who enabled this wonderful performance to happen!
  • Reception enjoyed their visit to a local construction site to support their learning in school.
  • We are welcoming some guests into school today for our Year 6 Tea Party.
  • Year 3 are looking forward to their trip to Buster Farm tomorrow.  Please do not park in the bus stop outside school tomorrow morning and at the end of the day as the coaches need to access these spaces. Thank you.
  • We will be hosting a workshop titled “Supporting My Child to Emotionally Regulate.” This session will help parents understand emotional regulation, recognise behaviours as a form of communication, and respond supportively to their children’s needs. Friday 27th March, 9:30–10:30am

Next Week at St Margaret's

  • School starts back on Monday 13th April 2026. Wishing you all a very happy Easter!
