Forest-School

At St Margaret's CE Primary School, we are fortunate to have a dedicated Forest School area at the heart of our school grounds, where children can learn, explore and thrive in the natural environment. Our Forest School sessions provide rich, hands-on experiences that inspire curiosity, creativity and a love of the outdoors while supporting children's physical, emotional and social development.

Through activities such as den building, nature exploration, woodland crafts, tool use and team challenges, children develop confidence, resilience, independence and problem-solving skills in a safe and nurturing environment. Guided by our experienced Forest School team, every session encourages children to take managed risks, work collaboratively and develop a deeper appreciation of God's creation.

Forest School is an important part of our commitment to providing meaningful learning experiences beyond the classroom, helping every child to flourish as they grow in confidence, character and wellbeing. In keeping with our vision of 'Created to Shine', our outdoor learning opportunities enable children to discover their strengths, build lasting memories and shine in their own unique way. 

We rely on volunteers and parent helpers to keep our forest school running, so please let us know if you are interested in getting your welly boots on and helping out outside, so we can add you to our rota!
