As a Voluntary Aided Church of England School, we enjoy a strong and close partnership with St Margaret’s Church, which is a real strength of our school community. Guided by the Diocese of Chichester’s Growing Partnerships covenant, we have a clear plan for working together which is reviewed each term.
Our partnership includes:
Weekly Collective Worship led by church leaders, building on whole-school themes.
A weekly Christian Union, run by the Church’s Youth and Children’s Worker.
Monthly prayer meetings for the school at St Margaret’s.
Termly church services for children and families.
Weekly volunteer support from church members, from reading to Forest School activities.
Daily reflection sessions on Year 4 and Year 6 residentials, led by the Youth and Children’s Worker.
Foundation Governors from St Margaret’s serving on our governing board.
