Dear Parents and Carers,

Apart from it feeling like we have regressed back to winter, we have made the most of it and had a great week at school regardless! I hope you have had a chance to read our final SIAMS inspection report which I shared on Monday. If you haven't had a chance, please follow this link to read it. We are really proud of the outcomes and feel it reflects the wonderful school community and ethos of St Margaret's, driven by our vision of 'Created to Shine' and our values of 'Love and Aspire'. SIAMS Inspection Report

This Week at St Margaret’s

  • A massive thank you to our Year 4 Dalesdown team - the staff team did a brilliant job in looking after our children for their residential and giving them a great couple of days away. We were sad to see the trip end early, but know the children really enjoyed their time away together.
  • Our Year 6s braved the weather for their walk to Highdown today - a great chance to make the most of living where we do and enjoying the local countryside.

Next Week at St Margaret's

  • We welcome our Governing Board into school on Monday for our Governor Monitoring Day - this is where our governors spend time across the school reflecting upon all the work that goes on in classrooms and behind the scenes too. Thank you to our Governors who work so hard in supporting us as a school - it is a really important role and we are blessed to have such a good group of people dedicated to this role.
  • Year 6 Bikeability next week
  • Lewes Class to Evergreen Group on Wednesday (2pm)
  • Thursday - Music concert
  • Year 1 trip into Angmering village to learn more about our local area.
  • Join us on Friday 19th June at 9.30am for our parenting workshop on 'Supporting my child with their worries and managing our worries as parents'. This workshop is designed to support parents in recognising and applying techniques to help their child manage worries, build resilience, and develop healthy coping strategies.  It will also provide guidance for parents who may be experiencing their own challenges with anxiety. Please contact the school office to book your place.
  • Saturday 20th June - St Margaret's Church Fun Day - see flyer for details!
