Dear Parents and Carers,
Thank you for all your support and engagement this half term. We have such a fantastic school community, and it is a privilege to be a part of it. We are really looking forward to welcoming you into school for our May Day celebrations tomorrow afternoon, which will be a great way to end this half term!
This Week at St Margaret’s
- We had our SIAMS School Inspection on Monday this week. We look forward to sharing the full report with you upon publication, which will be towards the end of June.
- We have been thinking about worries in Collective Worship. Children have learnt the verse 'Give all your worries to Him because he cares for you' using actions to help us remember. We also looked at the example of Birds and Flowers in Matthew 6 to help us remember how much God cares for us. We reflected upon how we manage our worries and who we can talk to when we feel this way.
- A big 'well done!' to our school council for organising the school discos this week. Not only did the children have a great time, but £730 was raised for our two chosen charities this year, Cancer Research UK and Chestnut Tree House. Thank you to our wonderful staff who gave their time to make the event possible.
- It has been great to see so many families walk, cycle or scoot to school this week, despite the dubious weather! The School Council has been busy tallying class totals, and this will be shared in assembly on Friday.
- Our May Day celebrations start at 1:20pm tomorrow afternoon. Please do ensure that you have read the letter previously sent out, particularly the sections regarding children's dress, water and sun protection. The children are very excited to show off the dances they have learnt!
Next Week at St Margaret's
- Have a fantastic half term! We look forward to welcoming everybody back on Monday 1st June.
- Angmering Library is opening their new sensory garden and has events planned during the week. Our Year 1 children have contributed decorated pebbles and boards to the garden representing our values of Love and Aspire.
- During the first week back after half term, Year 4 children will have their maths timetable checks.
- Class Photos and Year 6 individual leaver photos will be on Tuesday 2nd June.
- Years 4, 5 and 6 have a Handball Tournament on Tuesday 2nd June.
- Pre-ordered signed copies of the book "What's Up" by Joanna Adeyinka-Burford will be given out during her visit on Wednesday 3rd June.

Parents who use Ticklemetoo Childcare will have seen this week that as of the 31st December 2026, Ticklemetoo will be finishing their provision of wrap-around care for the school. We wish the team at Ticklmetoo the very best after having worked with the school for many years. We want to reassure parents that the process of recruiting our new provider will commence at the end of this week with adverts going live on Friday. This tender process will be concluded towards the end of the summer term, which will ensure continuity of provision as the new provider will start with us after the Christmas Holidays, leaving no gaps in wrap-around care provision for parents.
