St Margaret's Church

As a Voluntary Aided Church of England School, we enjoy a strong and close partnership with St Margaret’s Church, which is a real strength of our school community. Guided by the Diocese of Chichester’s Growing Partnerships covenant, we have a clear plan for working together which is reviewed each term.

 Our partnership includes:

  • Weekly Collective Worship led by church leaders, building on whole-school themes.
  • A weekly Christian Union, run by the Church’s Youth and Children’s Worker.
  • Monthly prayer meetings for the school at St Margaret’s.
  • Termly church services for children and families.
  • Weekly volunteer support from church members, from reading to Forest School activities.
  • Daily reflection sessions on Year 4 and Year 6 residentials, led by the Youth and Children’s Worker.
  • Foundation Governors from St Margaret’s serving on our governing board.
  • A shared commitment to serve one another and further God’s Kingdom.
