At St Margaret's CE Primary School, our vision is to be a"shining light of love, aspiration and excellence" where every child is encouraged to fulfil their God-given potential. Through our Christian values of Love and Aspire, we believe that sport, physical activity and teamwork play a vital role in helping children flourish academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.

Our PE and Sport Premium funding enables us to provide high-quality physical education, broaden sporting opportunities and inspire healthy, active lifestyles for all pupils. We are committed to ensuring that every child, regardless of background, ability or need, has the opportunity to participate, achieve and develop a lifelong love of sport.

Sports Premium funding is intended to work towards the government’s key targets of:

• the engagement of all pupils in at least 30 minutes of in-school activity each day (to supplement 30 minutes of activity outside of school)
• raising the profile of sport and PE across the school
• increasing confidence, knowledge and skills of teachers when teaching PE offering a broader range of sporting activities to pupils
• increasing participation in competitive sport

Our Funding

During 2025-2026, St Margaret's received £19,610 in PE and Sport Premium funding, all of which was invested directly into improving physical education, school sport and physical activity opportunities for our pupils.

How We Invested the Funding

Our funding was used to support:

• Enhanced playground equipment and physical activity resources.
• Structured lunchtime sports provision and active play opportunities.
• Outdoor and Adventurous Activities (OAA) programmes.
• A broad range of inclusive sporting opportunities.
• Participation in inter-school competitions and festivals.
• Professional development to strengthen PE teaching across the school.
• Targeted opportunities for disadvantaged pupils and pupils with SEND.
