Free School Meals

Are you Eligible for Free School Meals?

We encourage all parents and carers to ensure that staff at our school know whether their child is entitled to Free School Meals (FSM) or has a parent who is a member of the armed services.
If you think your child is eligible, please speak to our office staff who can assist you in completing an application or search on the Government website via the following link

https://www.gov.uk/apply-free-school-meals

Parents can register their child for FSM if they are in receipt of any of the following benefits:

  • Income Support
  • Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
  • Income-related Employment Support Allowance
  • Support from the National Asylum Support Service (NASS)
  • Child Tax Credit, provided you are not entitle to Working Tax Credit and have an annual income, as assessed by HRM Revenue and Customs, that does not exceed £16,190
  • Guarantee element of State Pension Credit
  • Working Tax Credit “Run-on” – the payment someone may receive for a further four weeks after they stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit
  • Universal credit

How can I find out more about the pupil Premium?
More information about Pupil Premium can be found on the DfE website at:

Even if your child does not want to have school meals, please register your child if you are eligible. The school only receives the extra funding if your child is registered.
