to the Friends’ page!!
Hello,
I am Amanda Bishop, the newly appointed Chairperson of the Friends’
committee!! (Which generally means the main organiser!) I do this willingly and
am thoroughly enjoying my new role!! I have been involved with the Friends’
since just after my son started school, he is in year 3 now.
I
am extremely lucky in that I have a fantastic group of people who help me get
things done!
What
are we about?
The
committee aims to raise extra funds for the school for whatever is required. We
have contributed to the new projectors and the new benches you see dotted about
outside and many other items. Little things like these mean a lot to our
children.
We
also donate a small percentage of our funds to the schools in

are we?
We
are made up of parents/carers with pupils in school, a few members of staff from
the school and people from the local community who help out in and around the
school. We have informal meetings once a month, generally in the evening, to
discuss the latest fund raising ideas and how we will execute these! We have a
fun time and always a laugh or two thrown in!
How
do you join?
We
are always looking for new members with new ideas. If you are interested in
joining us, or merely interested in how we decide upon ideas, please feel free

always reply and will endeavour to answer any queries or give information on the
next meeting date.

Oh
yes, we have lots of fun, but we work hard as a team too. We have a social
evening every summer to pat ourselves on the back!
