WHO ARE WE AND WHAT DO WE DO?!

Hi!  My name is Maddy Pitt and I am the Chairperson for the Friends of St Margaret’s.  I currently have three children at the school and have been involved with the Friends for about two and a half years.

The Friends’ Committee is made up of a few members of staff, parents of children at the school and people from the community who spend time helping out in the school.

Our main aim is to arrange fund-raising events at the school to help raise money for additional facilities for the benefit of the children.  Our two main events each year are the Summer Fayre and the Christmas Market.  We also arrange smaller events such as a Fashion Show or Barn Dance which may not be huge fund raisers but are great fun and make good social events!

The meetings are very friendly and informal and are usually held about once each half term – except leading up to the major events when we have a couple more.
